Even the reliefs with him and Nefertiti and their daughters.Įgypt rules! Well, Amarnan art is just so amazing. I marvel and wonder, naturally the art was to be lasting, but I doubt they ever realized the full effects, and how timeless, iconic, and far-reaching their artistic efforts would be.īut the most powerful, to me, and haunting/mysterious statues are those of Akhenaten.

Osiris, Anubis, just out of control…the imagery and everything. Especially how the gods/goddesses are portrayed. It was printed in 14 parts over 2 days and then assembled. All the royal art, really, is just incredible and moving. While the first version of the Titan was modeled after the image and video material, this version is much closer to the real Titan of Braavos, as seen in the Game of Thrones series. I also thought of the massive Ramses II statues which are just wonderful. Some even debate the actual location, some even that is existed. This is the one of the 7 that there is the most speculation about. I have to say too that when I read the part with Doran hanging out and the kids were splashing around in the water gardens, and all of the plant-life and fruits were mentioned, for some reason I thought of the Hanging Gardens. I was so excited over the Titan of Braavos…the Colossus of Rhodes is my favorite of the 7 original Ancient Wonders.
